The R&D department of the company MP3 is constantly looking for new solutions to expand the range of application of fire dampers in order to provide an even better service to the customers, allowing them to achieve conditions of fire safety even when, due to the characteristics of the building, the traditional installations are not materially feasible.
These new solutions will complement the fire resistance classifications in the Certificate of Constancy of Performance and will be available from April 2022.
WK25 Series fire damper, installation onto the face of wall or floor.
The installation onto the face of the wall or floor is an excellent solution when it’s necessary to add a fire damper initially not planned, to easily replace a fire damper no longer suitable or when it’s possible to work only from one side of the building support.
In fact, this installation allows the fire damper to be installed without having to create a seat in the wall or floor.
The insulation of the fire damper is obtained with a special kit that can also be supplied after the delivery of the fire damper.
This installation has been tested in accordance with EN 1366-2:2015 in a notified laboratory obtaining the fire resistance classification EI 90 S.
Fire damper series WK25, installation remote from the wall.
To the already available installation with insulation of the fire damper and the duct by means of rock wool and intumescent paint, a new method of remote installation of the fire damper was added using an insulation method by means of calcium silicate panels, in accordance with the Promat 478 installation manual.
This installation was tested in accordance with EN 1366-2:2015 in a notified laboratory obtaining the fire resistance classification EI 90 S.
FNC1 series fire damper.
or the circular damper FNC1 is already available remote installation from the wall or floor.
This model of fire damper, which can be used when fire resistance class up to EI 60 S is required, allows a simple installation and very low values of pressure drop and noise generated.
Another important application that we have made available for this specific model of fire damper is the possibility to use the modulating servomotor in order to use the same damper with both fire compartmentation and air flow regulation function.
