Overview
The WH45 series of fire dampers allow maximum safety against the
spread of fire inside buildings. In effect, they guarantee the perfect
isolation from heat and an air tight seal to both hot and cold smoke, as
confirmed by the EN 1366-2 certification.
The WH45 series fire dampers form an invisible barrier to the spread
of fire, the dispersion of heat, the spreading of smoke and harmful
gasses thanks to the tested leakage with 500Pa depression, much more
than the minimum 300Pa stated in the standard. By connecting the fire
damper to the fire alarm system and the smoke detection system it is
possible to anticipate the closure of the blades prior to the direct
contact with the flame, in this way preventing damages caused by the
diffusion of smoke and gasses generated from combustion.
Technical data
- Behaviour to fire:
- Automatic closure in less than 30 seconds from contact with
fire;
- Absence of heat exchange between the two sides of the
installation wall;
- Absence of heat exchange between the two sides of the blade.
- Behaviour with smoke:
- Function of smoke damper both in the absence of fire (cold
smoke) and during a fire (hot smoke) tested at 500Pa.
- Classified for installation within:
- Brick walls at least 100mm thick in class EI 120 (ve i⇔o)
S classification report CSI1626FR;
- Concrete ceilings at least 150mm thick in class EI 180 (ho i⇔o)
S classification report CSI2645FR;
- Light structure walls (plasterboard) at least 100mm thick in
class EI 90 (ve i⇔o)
S classification report CSI1636FR.
- Controls: mechanical, magnetic or motorised.
- Safety lock: guarantees the holding of the closure of the damper
even when the fire were to completely destroy the closing mechanism.
- Absence of a preferential direction of the airflow;
- Air speeds of up to 15m/s;
- Duct in galvanized carbon sheet steel.
